On April 14th, EasyTransfer was proud to support the Young Icebreakers – UK Student Union Leaders Delegation, hosted by the Forum for World Education and The 48 Group. The delegation brought together student union leaders from leading UK universities, including Imperial College London, King's College London, University College London, the London School of Economics and Political Science, Queen Mary University of London, and the University of Leeds, to foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and future collaboration among global student communities.
As the first stop of the delegation's programme, participants visited the EasyTransfer office for a corporate visit and panel discussion. The session opened with a keynote speech from our Founder and President Tony Gao, who welcomed the delegation and highlighted the important role student union leaders play in representing student voices and shaping campus life. He also introduced EasyTransfer's student-centric approach to delivering innovative, secure, and seamless cross-border payment solutions, enabling international students to enjoy a more efficient and supportive study abroad experience.
The panel discussion explored topics including student union engagement within universities and provided UK student leaders with deeper insights into the structure and role of Chinese Students and Scholars Associations (CSSAs) and student unions in Chinese universities. The discussion featured contributions from Providence Academy President Fan Jesse Yang, former CSSA President at Cornell University, a Peking University student representative, Penn State Alumni Association Beijing Chapter President Sisi Xi, and Johns Hopkins Beijing & Shanghai Alumni Association President Guohao Sun, former CSSA President at Johns Hopkins University. Delegates actively engaged throughout the session, contributing perspectives in a highly interactive exchange.
