On 26 February, EasyTransfer was pleased to support the National Indian Students and Alumni Union UK (NISAU UK) in hosting the India–UK Education Conference & Achievers Honours Gala 2026. EasyTransfer Senior Advisor David Stringer-Lamarre, Director of UK Operations Daniel Akiva, and VP of Global Operations Sahil Suri attended the event, holding discussions with industry leaders on the shifting demands of international education and student payments. Bringing together more than 700 government officials, university leaders, and education stakeholders, the event provided a platform for dialogue on India–UK education partnerships, exploring talent development, employability, international student mobility, and the UK’s evolving international education strategy, while celebrating the achievements of Indian students and alumni.

The conference provided a strategic platform for stakeholders to discuss key issues shaping India–UK education and international student mobility. Discussions focused on talent development, employability, and supporting Indian students studying abroad, while highlighting the importance of collaboration across government, universities, and the wider education sector. Sanam Arora, Founder and Chair of NISAU UK, delivered the welcome address, highlighting the role of students and alumni in shaping international education and strengthening connections between India and the UK.

The programme also featured perspectives on the UK’s evolving international education priorities. Sarah Chidgey, Head of International Education at the Department for Business and Trade, shared insights into the UK’s new International Education Strategy. Gareth Thomas MP, former Minister of Business, Trade and Exports, and Richard Everitt, Head of Global Development at the University of Cambridge, explored how strategic priorities can translate into practical initiatives, including discussions around branch campuses and international student recruitment. Together, these discussions highlighted the importance of connecting policy ambitions with practical approaches to international education and student mobility.
